Using Twisted Lime Media’s Codewise mobile technology, we were able to take Vancouver Opera’s web-based ticket service mobile — meaning patrons can buy tickets for Vancouver Opera performances on their smartphone as easily as they can on their desktop computer.
Having built their sales infrastructure around a highly integrated back office enterprise solution called Tessitura (designed and developed by the world famous Metropolitan Opera), the Vancouver Opera found themselves in need of development support to update their online ticket sales for the upcoming year’s performances.
With the clock ticking, Twisted Lime came on board to provide a quick-hit solution for the coming season. In a matter of weeks, we were able to take Vancouver Opera’s ticketing Web site from expired to advanced by achieving the following:
- Fully researching the inner workings of the proprietary Tessitura system.
- Updating Vancouver Opera’s online ticketing Web site while tying it safely into the broader Tessitura sales application.
- Revamping the design of the ticketing site to bring it in line with Vancouver Opera’s main informational Web presence (previously, the two had inconsistent designs).
- Most importantly, moving their ticket sales to mobile devices such as Blackberry’s and cell phones by layering on our Codewise Presentation Manager.
