Get your face in the game
Ok, this one had a very short shelf-life, but it was pretty cool nonetheless. We did this one for a BC Children’s Hospital Foundation fundraiser associated with EA Sports and Microsoft. The Get Your Face in the Game project allowed fundraisers to join an online tournament playing the—at the time—newest version of EA’s NHL franchise on Xbox Live. The winner would receive immortalization by having their face as part of the crowd in the final release.
Twisted Lime stepped up to design and develop the fundraising website that organized pledging and even a bit of friendly rivalry between competitors with some online taunting. We then created the online video teaser for the tournament and fulfilled a wish by helping a young BC Children’s Hospital patient to direct his very own “One Word” inspirational video with a full cast and crew. But then we amped it up a bit more by securing a corporate sponsor to match donations raised through a “Shoot ‘n’ Score” Flash-based fundraising game we developed, which was playable on the website itself. For every goal scored in the game, a 5 cent donation was made to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
